Top 5 Original Criminal Minds Episodes, According To IMDb Users
Don't have time for a full rewatch? Here's the best of the best.
The latest Paget Brewster's update on Criminal Minds: Evolution says that filming for Season 2 is set to begin in mid-January, which means that new episodes could land on Paramount+ in the spring-summer of 2024.
This is definitely great news for all police procedural fans and makes you want to revisit the original series and dive back into the world where criminal psychology can trump any criminal mind.
Fifteen full seasons, consisting of 324 episodes, is no joke though. And if a full rewatch is not an option for you, maybe just a few of the best episodes will satisfy your nostalgic craving.
Here are the top 5 episodes, ranked by their IMDb scores, for your must-rewatch list.
5. S10E21 Mr. Scratch
8.7/10
This episode introduces one of the most dangerous and prolific unsubs in BAU history. Mr. Scratch drugs and hypnotizes his victims, forcing them to kill their loved ones while seeing a clawed shadow monster.
Before he is caught (not for long), he messes with Aaron Hotchner's head and makes him see some of his life's worst nightmares.
4. S2E15 Revelations
8.8/10
The heartbreaking episode is as Spencer Reid-centric as it gets and reveals a lot about the fan-favorite BAU member. A religious fanatic kidnaps the boy genius and heavily drugs him while live-feeding the process.
While drifting in and out of consciousness, Reid has flashbacks to his troubled childhood and relationship with his dysfunctional mother.
3. S5E16 Mosley Lane
8.9/10
This episode is memorable for several reasons. First, it was the first directed by Matthew Gray Gubler. Second, it stars Evan Peters. And finally, it is a classic kidnapping case with lots of twists, emotional moments and powerful catharsis.
A true genre masterpiece.
2. S11E11 Entropy
9.1/10
The episode introduces one of BAU's most compelling unsubs, a dangerous and devious assassin, Aubrey Plaza's Cat Adams aka Miss .45 aka The Black Widow Killer, and her love-hate relationship with Reid.
What starts out as a blind date turns into a psychological cat and mouse game between Cat and Reid that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
1. S5E9 100
9.1/10
The best Criminal Minds in the opinion of IMDb users is also the show's 100th (hence the title) and most heart-wrenching. It features the return of the BAU's most powerful enemy, George Foyet, aka the Boston Reaper, who is out to settle scores and targets Hotch's family.
One of the greatest TV moments in crime drama history.
