This is a brilliant stand-alone episode. It dives deep into the subject of mental health issues and gives them a physical embodiment.

Matt Smith's Doctor and Karen Gillan's Amy Pond travel to 1890s France to meet Vincent van Gogh, who sees a monster invisible to other people. While the Doctor deals with the creature, Amy bonds with the painter in the hope of changing his future.

These two emotional episodes are two parts of one story that introduced Alex Kingston's River Song and at the same time became the end of her arc in the series.

The story takes place in a planet-sized library in the 51st century, where David Tennant's Doctor can sense trillions of life forms that he cannot see or hear.

Peter Capaldi's acting, Steven Moffat's writing and Rachel Talalay's directing made this episode one of the best in the show's history.

The story follows the Twelfth Doctor as he is trapped in a water-locked castle by the Time Lords and pursued by a shrouded creature that tries to extract truths from him.

Blink (S3E10)

9.8/10

The best Doctor Who episode, as voted by IMDb users, is also one of the most terrifying. It introduces the race that will become one of the biggest and most recognizable villains in the Whoniverse for years to come - the Weeping Angels.

Trapped in the past, the Tenth Doctor tries to prevent the Weeping Angels from entering the TARDIS in 2007 with the help of a young woman to whom he gives various clues.
