Phases 4 & 5 Favorites: Best New Character From Each Disney+ MCU Series
Let's do some MCU inventory.
Can you believe it's been over four and a half years since Avengers: Endgame had its triumphant run in theaters and in our hearts?
Not long after, Phase 3 of the MCU came to a close, and the superhero universe entered a new era of multiverse madness, an unprecedented amount of new content, and dozens of comic book characters making their first appearances on the big and small screen.
The partnership between Disney+ and Marvel has been particularly fruitful over the past couple of years, resulting in nine new shows landing on streaming, each featuring a bunch of new characters.
This kaleidoscope of faces may have become a bit overwhelming for casual viewers. So for those who have lost track, we've compiled a list of the best new characters from each Disney+ MCU show, from WandaVision to Secret Invasion, to refresh your memory.
Agatha Harkness from WandaVision
Wanda and Vision's story in the show was amazing, but when the charming and witty witch and main antagonist appeared on screen, she just stole all the spotlight. Luckily, the studio did not miss out on the audience's love and Agatha got her own solo spinoff, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, which will arrive on Disney+ late next year.
John Walker from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
The story of super-soldier Walker was truly dark and shocking. The way he slaughtered a surrendering foreign national with the Captain America shield teases that his tenure as the U.S. Agent will be R-rated if it is ever shown on screen.
Mobius M. Mobius from Loki
It's hard not to fall in love with the charming, nonchalant, pie-eating TVA agent. Hopefully we'll get to reunite with him in Deadpool 3 next summer.
Star-Lord T'Challa from What If...?
Wakanda's Prince T'Challa as Star-Lord, the Ravager, the Robin Hood of the galaxy? Yes, please. Sorry, Peter Quill, but this Star-Lord redeems villains.
Kate Bishop from Hawkeye
The archery genius is one of the best characters introduced after Endgame and a perfect replacement for Clint Barton, and we can't wait to explore her arc in Young Avengers.
Marc Spector from Moon Knight
To be honest, all personalities of the protagonist with dissociative identity disorder were amazing in their own way. The lack of news about the future of the character can't help but bother us,to tell the truth.
Kamala Khan from Ms. Marvel
With her appearance in the recent The Marvels, Ms Marvel established herself as a major player in the Multiverse Saga and the future of the MCU. It was amazing to see a fan girl become a superhero, so we were immediately sold on the character.
Jen Walters from She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
Bruce Banner's self-assured cousin stole viewers' hearts with her witty dialogue and strong belief in justice. Her pairing with Daredevil seems like a match made in heaven, really.
Gravik from Secret Invasion
The main antagonist of Secret Invasion, later known as Super-Skrull, is hands down one of the best MCU villains of Phase 4 and 5. Too bad he was killed off at the end of the series.
