Best of Best: Top Five OFMD Post Credit Scenes
Let's reminisce a bit.
If you were one of those who binge-watched Season 2 of Our Flag Means Death and were so impatient to see what would happen next that you hit the 'Next Episode' button as soon as the credits rolled, you must have been pleasantly surprised to learn that all episodes of this season have additional post-credit scenes.
If you don't know it yet, here it is. There is more content for your pirate heart and soul! All eight post-credit scenes are great, reflecting the mood of the episode and adding a sometimes funny, sometimes meaningful touch to the main storyline.
But there were a few that really stood out.
5. S2E4 Pescatarian
The whole Buttons storyline in Episode 4, where Ed and Stede visited Mary Read and Anne Bonny's antique shop, was brilliant. Probably one of his best lines in the show came in the post-credits scene.
‘It's like a non-stop knockin' shop on that ship,’ he says of the Revenge.
Well, that's just hysterical.
4. S2E7 Spa Day
The scene where Roach and Fang take some time to relax and go on a spa day is pure comedy gold. Roach is so wise and Fang is so adorable with his excited surprise at the mud facial that it's hard not to crack up. These two are a truly underrated duo that needs to get more screen time in Season 3. Oh, and don't forget to take care of yourself.
3. S2E8 Go Frenchie!
The scene showing exactly how the Revenge crew managed to escape from the prison cell Ricky Banes put them in (knotting a wet rag around a pair of prison bars and tightening the knot until the bars bend) is a perfect comedic relief after an emotional final episode of the season. It also shows what a leader Frenchie has become in Season 2.
2. S2E1 Wooden Boy Voice
The scene where Jim did the Pinocchio voice for Fang was hilarious, touching, and heartbreaking all at once. The Revenge crew's desperate attempts to support each other under the iron fist of Blackbeard are especially evident as Jim does their best to lift Fang's spirits while Archie scrubs blood off the dock in the background.
1. S2E5 So Quiet
The whole scene where Ed tries to do fishing right and be quiet while Fang takes a nap next to him is just so Ed and so hilarious. The half-condescending, half-proud tone he takes when doing something new is perfect. And the fish he catches at the end. Oh, that fish is a better treasure than any pirate raid could provide.
