Avengers: Doomsday Stars Reveal Everyone Got a Different Full Script
The Avengers: Doomsday cast are talking about how Marvel handled their scripts — and a Comic-Con panel got gatecrashed in suitably chaotic fashion.
Coming off the San Diego Comic-Con stage, the Avengers: Doomsday cast told Entertainment Weekly they never saw the full story — by design. Pedro Pascal said the pages they received were tightly limited, triggering a round of jokes about Marvel’s maze of decoys.
“We did not even get the full script,”
Several castmates piled on, riffing that there were “fifty different scripts” in circulation. It tracks with Marvel’s long-running practice on big crossover events: keep scenes siloed so one leak doesn’t give the whole game away.
David Harbour: “We know what’s gonna happen. We’re not gonna tell you. We know. Every single one of us.”
Hall H surprise
Inside Hall H, the secrecy gave way to spectacle when Ryan Reynolds crashed the presentation in full Deadpool mode, denim-on-denim Canadian tuxedo and all. From the audience mic, Wade Wilson couldn’t resist needling the panel.
Deadpool: “An awfully expensive way to announce a film.”
He pushed for a start date, and Robert Downey Jr. — playing along in character as Doctor Doom for the bit — volleyed back that the movie was already finished and asked if Deadpool had hit his head, to big laughs.
Marvel’s Hall H showcase highlighted a sprawling lineup. Among the names attached so far:
- Robert Downey Jr.
- Chris Evans
- Paul Rudd
- David Harbour
- Letitia Wright
- Pedro Pascal
- Anthony Mackie
Marvel is keeping plot specifics under wraps and limiting access to pages on a need-to-know basis — even for the people wearing the suits on screen.
