We all know Will Forte is hilarious on "SNL" and "The Last Man on Earth," but there's so much more to his filmography than that.

Here are some of the criminally overlooked Will Forte movies that need more love.


1. "MacGruber" (2010)

MacGruber, an ex-special ops agent, assembles a team to take down his arch-nemesis, Dieter von Cunth. They're hunting for a nuclear warhead that Dieter's stolen.

A series of inept actions by MacGruber leads to the death of his team – by accidental explosion, no less. Teaming up with an old friend and his deceased wife's ghost, MacGruber stops Dieter by, get this, ripping out his throat.

Despite his family telling him it's a scam, he's determined to go to Nebraska to claim his prize. His son David agrees to drive him there. Along the way, they stop in Woody's hometown, where David learns about his dad's past and the people he left behind. Also, everyone starts to think Woody is rich, causing all sorts of chaos.


3. "Run & Jump" (2013)

An American doctor named Ted comes to live with them for two months to study Conor's behavior for his research. 4. "A Good Old Fashioned Orgy" (2011)

5. "The Brothers Solomon" (2007)

To complicated things further, his wife is also in the play, along with her ex-lover who is a writer named Joshua Fleet, played by Will Forte. Joshua starts dating Izzy without knowing her history. Hijinks ensue, as you can imagine.

Affairs, misunderstandings, and a whole lot of romantic musical chairs make for one hilarious and twisted comedy.


7. "Don Verdean" (2015)

The thing is, the whole operation is more of a scam than a holy mission. Verdean and his partner fabricate findings like "Lot's wife" (turned into a pillar of salt) and claim to have discovered the skull of Goliath. As you might guess, things go south.


8. "Beerfest" (2006)

Embarrassed by their loss, they return to America and train for the next year. Along the way, they discover a family secret: a beer recipe that's supposedly the best in the world. They enter the competition again, aiming for both the title and the honor of their family's beer legacy.

Will Forte plays Phil, Todd's boss, who fires him and later crashes his wedding, creating even more chaos in an already disorderly weekend.
