10 Teen Comedies from the 2000s So Bad, They Became Cult Classics

Years before "Heartstopper" made us all swoon, we were experiencing these, ahem, masterpieces.

1. EuroTrip (2004)
A classic American high school graduation. Scotty (dumb as a post) just got dumped. With his best buddy in tow, he takes a wild jaunt across Europe. Purpose? To find his German pen pal, whom he thinks has a thing for him.

Yet, every stop on their European escapade is one comic disaster after another. A riotous club in Amsterdam? Check. Misunderstandings at the Vatican? Double-check. And who can forget that earworm, "Scotty Doesn't Know"? Does it get any more stereotypical than this?

2. Sleepover (2004)
Budding teens, a slumber party, and a high-stakes scavenger hunt – what could go wrong? Julie and her friends are determined to boost their social status before entering high school. And how do they plan on doing this? By nabbing the coveted lunch spot near the fountain.

As these young ladies sneak out, each task becomes increasingly zany. From commandeering a security guard's vehicle to sneaking into the hottest high school party, the night turns into an unpredictable chaos.

3. The New Guy (2002)
Ever thought about rebooting your life? High school geek Dizzy Harrison does just that. After an embarrassing mishap, he winds up in jail where a seasoned inmate gives him a crash course on being cool.

Released as the transformed "Gil Harris", he enrolls in a new school and, miraculously, becomes the big man on campus. Football hero, dating the hottest girl, you name it. But can a leopard really change its spots?

4. Not Another Teen Movie (2001)
Parody alert! Ever seen a teen film from the '90s or 2000s? Of course, you have. This movie takes the mick out of all of 'em. Janey's the art-obsessed outsider. There's the jock, the mean girl, the token minority guy, the list goes on.

The plot? Well, it's as cliché as they come: turn the odd girl into prom queen. But with every twist and turn, this comedy gleefully pokes fun at all the tropes we've come to love and hate. Plus, there's at least a couple of familiar faces starring: Eric Christian Olsen or Chris Evans, anyone?

5. Drive Me Crazy (1999)
High school politics can be...complicated. When popular girl Nicole and her next-door neighbor (and total outsider) Chase find themselves dateless for the big dance, what do they do? Form a mutual beneficial alliance, of course.

By pretending to date each other, they aim to make their respective crushes jealous. But when they start to fall for each other, it becomes a tangled web of teen angst and confusion.

6. Josie and the Pussycats (2001)
Pop music, subliminal messages, and conspiracies, oh my! When this small-town band gets thrust into the limelight, it's not all glitz and glamour. Hidden behind catchy tunes are dastardly plots to control the world's youth.

Will Josie, Melody, and Valerie unravel the mystery, or will they become pawns in the grand scheme? Watch for the satirical digs at consumerism. Those leopard print costumes? Iconic.

7. Whatever It Takes (2000)
Trading places, love triangles, and...uh...pacts to help each other woo their crushes? Yup. Ryan and Chris, two guys on opposite ends of the high school social spectrum, strike a bizarre deal.

With deceit, blunders, and a party that turns the school upside down, this film makes you wonder: how far would you go for love? Spoiler: It's a lot more than you'd think!

8. Sugar & Spice (2001)
Cheerleaders turned criminals? Welcome to high school gone wild! When the head cheerleader finds herself pregnant, her squad jumps into action. Their solution? Rob a bank, naturally.

With ski masks, pom-poms, and a choreographed dance-turned-heist plan, these girls redefine team spirit. I mean, who said cheerleading wasn't extreme?

9. Crossroads (2002)
Britney Spears on a cross-country road trip—need I say more? Three childhood friends, each with their own dreams and dilemmas, reunite for a journey of self-discovery.

A singing contest, a search for a mom, and an engagement gone wrong—each mile unveils more drama than the last. Oh, and can we talk about that impromptu karaoke scene? It's... something.

10. Get Over It (2001)
When Berke's girlfriend dumps him for the school's "it" guy, he's, well, heartbroken. So, what's a guy to do? Obviously, join the school musical to win her back!

With ludicrous song numbers, a quirky love interest, and a bonkers rendition of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream", this flick doesn't skimp on the silly.
