November is a hot month for streaming, cable and theatrical premieres. This year, however, the amount of new projects is somewhat reduced due to the Hollywood strikes.
Fortunately, Christmas content seems to be in constant supply, and all platforms are ready to kick off the holiday season with themed premieres and specials of the beloved shows and film series.
If you can already feel the holiday breeze outside your windows, here's when to tune in to Netflix to catch that magical atmosphere.
November 8:
The Claus Family 3
This is the third year that the Dutch-Belgian movie series is treating viewers to Nordic magic. The story once again revolves around the family of Noël Claus, a Santa Claus disguised as an ordinary old man, and the Christmas adventures of his grandchildren.
This time, the younger sibling Noor is given a bigger role. After discovering her grandfather's secret identity, she helps him and her brother with their new problem, a gift delivery that goes terribly wrong.
November 16th:
Best. Christmas. Ever!
The new Christmas romcom with a famed ensemble cast follows two old college friends, Charlotte and Jackie, who unexpectedly reunite just days before Christmas. Jackie seems to have the perfect life, which makes Charlotte angry and jealous.
But now that Charlotte and her family have to spend some time at Jackie's house, the protagonist takes on a task to prove that there are skeletons in every closet.
November 30th:
Family Switch
This new star-studded family comedy is not exactly a Christmas movie, but the idea of family members changing and swapping bodies due to a mysterious spell sounds awfully like something we need to add to our holiday binge list, right?
The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday (2023)
The half-hour animated special serves as a prequel to 2022's acclaimed original animated film The Bad Guys, which tells the story of a criminal gang of anthropomorphic animals who find a surprising joy in being on the right side of the law after getting caught.
Virgin River (Season 5, Part 2)
The exciting premiere for all fans of the romantic genre is two holiday specials of Virgin River. For the first time in the show's history, the residents of the idyllic town celebrate Christmas, and the festivities are set to be filled with suspense, drama and heartwarming moments.
Viewers will learn who Mel's biological father is and finally see the birth of Charmaine's twins. What is it if not a Christmas miracle?
