5. "Paperhouse" (1988)
Ever wanted your drawings to come to life? Maybe not like this. Eleven-year-old Anna starts sketching a house while she's sick at home. But as her illness worsens, her drawings and dreams turn darker, putting Marc in danger.
6. "The Vanishing" (1988)

He consults none other than Hannibal Lecter, a psychiatrist turned cannibalistic killer, to get into the mindset of the predator he's chasing.
It's a cat-and-mouse game with stylish '80s flair and a synth score that screams tension.
8. "Jacob's Ladder" (1990)
Okay, okay, technically this one's from 1990, but it's got '80s DNA all over it. Vietnam vet Jacob Singer is trying to keep his life together, but his past keeps creeping up on him. I mean, hallucinations of demons and flashbacks to wartime trauma? Talk about heavy baggage.
As Jacob unravels his past, you're sucked into a labyrinth of reality and illusion.
9. "Dressed to Kill" (1980)
If you're into Hitchcock vibes, "Dressed to Kill" is your jam. Kate is a sexually frustrated housewife who ends up murdered in an elevator shortly after a tryst with a stranger. Her son teams up with a prostitute to solve the murder, only to discover a trail leading to Kate's psychiatrist.
But here's the kicker: the killer's identity is as elusive as a shadow, leaving you guessing till the very end.
10. "The Changeling" (1980)
George C. Scott plays a composer who moves into a mansion after the death of his wife and daughter. But man, this house is less "Home Sweet Home" and more "Home Creep Home." He hears banging noises, finds a hidden room, and learns about the tragic death of a disabled boy.
